ABOUT THE BLIND COACH
Helping You See Life Differently — Even If I Can’t
Â
Â
I’m not your typical coach. For starters, I’m 80% blind.
But it turns out, losing most of my sight helped me truly see — especially what matters most in life.
I wasn’t born into wisdom or clarity.
I grew up in a working-class cotton mill town, where the unspoken rules were simple:
-
Don’t aim too high.
-
Don’t show yourself up.
-
Know your place.
By the time I hit my teens, I’d internalized every one of those messages. My dreams got buried beneath what others expected of me. School didn’t believe in me. I didn’t either.
I stumbled through early adulthood with more arrogance than direction. And life, being the excellent teacher it is, made sure I learned the hard way.
Then, in 1998, the rug was pulled completely. A rare eye condition took 80% of my vision. It was sudden. Devastating. And strangely… clarifying.
A New Way of Seeing
When the world you’ve known disappears, you either give up — or find a new way forward.
What followed wasn’t some flashy spiritual awakening or overnight transformation. It was slow, painful, honest work. I explored, questioned, and eventually rediscovered a deeply rooted, nearly-forgotten approach to personal change — one that’s more ancient than modern psychology, and more human than any self-help cliché.
No labels. No fluff. Just raw conversations, powerful insights, and real shifts.
I realized something: we’re not broken. We’ve just forgotten who we are beneath the conditioning.
Why I Coach
I’m formally retired, but I do this because I love it.
I love people. I love honest conversation. I love watching someone light up when they see something clearly for the first time in years.
I coach people over 30 — people who’ve already lived a little, maybe lost a little, and are ready to rediscover the fire inside them.
I won’t fix you. I won’t tell you what to believe.
But I will walk with you.
And I’ll help you see through the stories you’ve been told (and the ones you tell yourself).
This Is Not Therapy. It’s Not Religious. It’s Not Woo-Woo.
It’s real talk.
It’s insight.
It’s you, seeing life differently — on your terms.
Through my newsletter, courses, and conversations, I share everything I’ve learned (and unlearned) — with a little humour, a lot of heart, and zero jargon.
So if you're ready to explore new ways of thinking and begin rewriting the narrative, you’re in the right place.
Let’s start with a conversation.
I promise to keep it short, snappy, and full of insight — even if my Jack Russell occasionally interrupts.

Let’s break the rules that no longer serve you. Let’s build something better.
